Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy
The OCC Difference
Our therapists have direct access to our physicians, which allow the therapist to know exactly what rehabilitation protocol is required for each patient.
If you have an issue that the therapist feels needs the immediate attention of one of our physicians, they have the capability of walking down the hall and getting a surgeon to assess your situation during your therapy visit.
Our therapy team possesses decades of experience in treating orthopedic injuries and surgical rehabilitation. We strive to find therapists, who share our passion for providing a positive experience in a therapeutic environment. We are extremely proud of our therapy providers and hope you will consider receiving your therapy at OCC – Colorado Orthopedic Consultants.
OCC – Colorado Orthopedic Consultants also have Certified Hand Therapists (CHT) on staff.
A Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is an Occupational or Physical Therapist who, through advanced study and experience, specializes in treating individuals with conditions affecting the hand, wrist forearm, elbow and shoulder girdle.
Please note: We are not able to accept all insurance products in our therapy department. Please check with our department front desk staff to confirm if we accept your insurance. With all patients requiring therapy, we are happy to refer you to an outside therapy provider if you have an existing relationship with a therapist or if you need a more convenient location.
Certified Hand Therapist’s are expert in:
- Management of open or sutured wounds
- Control of hypertrophic or hypersensitive scars
- Reduction of swelling
- Management of pain
- Sensory re-education after nerve injury
- Splint fabrication for prevention or corrections of injury
- Conditioning prior to return to work
