Tim Abbott, PA-C

Tim believes in working with his patients to find the most effective treatment through proper communication. He believes that working together with each patient and developing the proper treatment plan will lead to the best results and a better overall outcome from the diagnosis.
Tim received his undergraduate degree in Psychology at St. Mary’s College of Maryland before relocating to Colorado. He worked in the Mental Health field for 10 years before deciding that medicine is his passion. Tim furthered his education while in Colorado and completed the Physician Assistant program at Red Rocks. He worked for two years in Family Medicine to enhance his medical background. Tim has since been working at Colorado Orthopedic Consultants with Dr. Craig Davis, where he has expanded his knowledge in the orthopedic field.
Tim enjoys spending time with his family, wife Kelly and his two sons Sean and Riley. They enjoy everything that Colorado has to offer and spend as much time as they can camping, hiking, backpacking, rafting, and snowshoeing.
Maria Kaplan PA-C
Maria attended the University of Denver, where she received her undergraduate degree in Biology. She worked as a professional research assistant in transplant surgery before deciding to further pursue a career in medicine. She went on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University, in the Chicago area. After graduating in 2016, she moved back to Colorado and started working to treat patients with conditions relating to the spine. In March of 2019, Maria joined Colorado Orthopedic Consultants to work with Dr. Stephen Pehler.
Having been born in Belarus, Maria speaks Russian fluently. She enjoys being active, attending sporting events, traveling and enjoying the beautiful outdoors with her husband, Matt. They hike, ski and run together. She also enjoys baking and spending time with her family and friends.
Rachel Lowery, PA-C
Rachel attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Exercise and Health Science in 2011. She then went on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. She graduated in 2014 and began working as a PA for Nebraska Spine and Pain Center in Omaha, Nebraska. She moved to Colorado in October of 2016 and began working for Colorado Orthopedic Consultants with Dr. Jeffrey Arthur. Rachel works in both the clinic setting diagnosing and treating various orthopedic issues. She also first assists Dr. Arthur in the operating room during total hip and knee arthroplasties, trauma surgeries and sports- related surgical injuries.
Rachel enjoys spending time with friends and family. She loves doing anything active including running, hiking, cycling, yoga and doing anything outdoors. She enjoys returning to Nebraska for Husker football games and visiting friends and family.
Cara Cohn, PA-C
Cara attended Colorado State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Health and Exercise Science with a concentration in Sports Medicine. She went on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Des Moines University in Iowa. Cara graduated in June 2019 and began working for Colorado Orthopedic Consultants with Dr. Nathan Faulkner. Cara sees patients in the clinic by evaluating and treating a variety of orthopedic conditions. In addition, she first assists Dr. Faulkner in the operating room for total shoulder and knee arthroplasties as well as arthroscopic procedures.
Cara is a Colorado native and enjoys all things outdoors. She has run a few half-marathons and plans to continue to do more. She enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking 14ers, camping, and yoga.
Kelsey Grimm, PA-C
Kelsey attended undergraduate school at Luther College in Iowa and graduated with a degree in Biology and liberal arts. She worked for an electronic medical records company before deciding her passion lied in medicine. She began to work as a nursing assistant in an emergency department, and went on to attend the University of Iowa to obtain her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She then practiced as a PA in general surgery and sports medicine in Iowa for 3.5 years.
A Colorado native, she was excited to return home and make a positive impact for patients in the Denver community. She joined Colorado Orthopedic Consultants in 2020 to work with Dr. Stuart Myers.
She enjoys everything outdoors, playing soccer, and spending time with her husband and her two sons.
